Mike Snyder
Mike
Snyder's career in professional baseball as a pitcher, scout and pitching coach
spans over twenty years. During his career, he was affiliated with the New
York Yankees, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies. Four
of Mike's private and former private students Jon Rauch, Steve Stemle, Tom
Mastny and Zach McClellan have or are currently pitching in the Major Leagues.
Also, another pitcher that Mike trained out of TRINITY
BALLPARK, Noblesville
resident Alex Graman, had a monster year pitching in the Japanese Pacific League
culminating in pitching in the Japanese World Series in 2008.
Mike also studied exercise physiology and applied biomechanics while serving as the pitching coach at the University of Louisville from 1993-1996. Mike was involved in rehabbing MLB pitchers Andy Benes, Danny Jackson, Jeff Brantley, Mike Busby, Rick Honeycutt, Denny Neagle, Denny Stark, Nelson Cruz, Vic Darrensbourg and Bobby Chenaird while coaching with the Cardinals and Rockies. As of 2009, Mike has coached over thirty pitchers currently on Major League rosters at some point in their careers. Throughout his career as a private instructor, Mike has trained numerous high school pitchers who have gone on to pitch in college . A number of those have gone on to play baseball professionally, either via the MLB draft or amateur free agency.
